It's a truly original building in these surroundings. The interior is not inspired by Scandinavian style, rather more American west, and provides a welcoming and relaxed setting. This review is limited in that we went for the special £5 two course lunch on in the week after Easter, which we suspect doesn't show whtat the kitchen can really do. However, needless to say it was excellent value for money, and the food was definitely better than you can really expect for a fiver. I had a very tasty feta cheese salad with sundried tomatoes, olives and rocket for a starter, and Martin had garlic mushrooms, which were OK, but our least favourite dish of the ones we had. For a main I had an asparagus and wild mushroom risotto, which was what I would expect, although judging by their colour some of the asparagus had been cooked more recently than others. The flavour was nice, though. Martin had chicken with mustard sauce, and loads of pepper corns, which he enjoyed – especially the sauce.
