An Italian restaurant by Greta Bridge in Keswick was one of the business hardest hit by the floods last November. Well, they have now finished their refurbishment, and are re-opening today (Sep 3). I must confess, I have not been, but the menu is mouthwatering, so we'll give it a try asap. Genuine Italian fare is promised, looking forward to Paul Protano's take on that.

This is from their press release: Luca’s Ristorante by Greta Bridge in Keswick was badly affected by last November’s floods and Head Chef and owner, Paul Protano, and his family have been working hard to re-open as soon as possible.
Luca’s has room for up to 70 diners and has always had a reputation for the best of Italian food but Paul is keen to stress an aspect of Italian eating that he wants to encourage at the “new” Luca’s: “Italians love to eat out as a family early in the evening and Luca’s will be offering this sort of simple ‘dish and a drink’ dining, making it ideal for a pre-theatre or pre-film supper. For families, there are options of smaller portions of our main dishes rather than a children’s menu and I hope that families will give us a try and add to the authentic Italian atmosphere of the place.”
Luca’s is open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm with last food orders at 10pm. There is further information at www.lucasristorante.co.uk, plenty of parking and a pre-dinner bar. To book a table, call 017687 74621.
