Well it's spring again, i'll bring again Tulips from amsterdam,
and all that malarkey.....
Spring is now very much upon us,
the foods that are now around are some of my faves of all time,
Artichokes, purple sprouting broccoli, scottish scallops, wild mushrooms, asparagus and of course fresh trout,
I was on BBC Radio Cumbria yesterday and we talked about different oils and how to use them,
It was a first as I took some baked crispy croutes with me for Ian Timmes to do a live tasting on air with me,
I gave him parmesan with truffle oil which he crunched right into the microphone,
and then goats cheese with brazil nut oil which he purred like a content cat upon,
next time on the 23rd of april we are getting into Almond oil, Hemp Oil and rosemary scented olive oil,
I'm off to the Old Course Hotel at St Andrews golf Course on Sunday,
for a couple of days R&R and food education with my wife,
I can't wait to see what they have to offer in the restaraunt,
the Irony of it is, " Well i don't like golf "
If the hotel was next to Goodison Park then it would be a different story,
But i'm sure i'll cope with the grandeur of the place and the fine foods and wines,
