these little beauties are one of the best recipes i've ever used....

Try these out, the uncooked mixture will keep for 2 weeks in the fridge,

and up to 3 months in the freezer,

500g butter,

200g caster sugar,

1/2 a can of condensed milk,

600g self raising flour,

1 teaspoon baking powder,

Cream together the butter and sugar,

Sift in the flour and baking powder,

Stir in the remaining ingredients, roll into bars , wrap in cling film and

Store in the fridge,

To cook, roll into small balls, they will double the size when baked, place

Onto parchment lined trays and press lightly to flatten,

Bake @ 160c for 12/15 minutes until golden brown,

Carefully place onto a cooling rack for 5 minutes before serving,

This recipe makes loads of biscuits so you might want to half or quarter the

Recipe,

To this mix you should add 4oog of either, chocolate chips,

Chopped apricots and 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest,

Chopped pistachio nuts,

grasmere gingerbreadcrumbs,

Stem ginger or whatever you fancy,

Nick..
