Last year I visited the Orton Christmas farmers market with Cecilia and baby Luke. It was one of our first outings with Luke, he was pretty oblivious to what was going on. Unfortunately due to other commitments I cannot make this years on Saturday 8th December, but if you are free try to make it.

Apart from it being a good foodie day out, the Christmas market is really special mostly because all the stall holders dress up, there is live music and normally lots going on. I have been told by the organisers that this year will be better than ever as this time the stalls will be dressed up as well. Father Christmas will be present, (pardon the pun and sorry Luke...) and things kick off at 9:30. So try to get there if you can, it's sure to be fun.
Whilst on the Chirstmas food shopping theme. Jane Emerson at Deer 'n' Dexter has organised a Farmers' Market for Rheged on the last Sunday before Christmas - 23 December. More details of who is attending can be found on Jane's website at www.deer-n-dexter.co.uk this will allow you to contact stallholders in advance and place orders for collection on 23rd. Sounds like a great idea.
