If you like dairy products you should eat Veal.....

Veal has had some pretty bad press in the past. With the emphasis on animal welfare today things may have changed.  Our very own Farmer Sharp, he of Herdwick fame,  is set to educate us on the matter. In his words, anyone who uses diary products should eat veal. No calf! No milk

So watch out for the program on the 9th of January BBC Three, they will be showing Kill It, Cook It, Eat It 2, which will feature Cumbrian naturally reared pink veal.

I will just have to take Farmer Sharps word for it as we can't get BBC3 in Grasmere! but on doing a little research I can see the logic. I guess it comes down to knowing where your veal comes from and being confident that what you are buying comes from a farm that treats the animals in the  right way.
