It seems that our friends over the pond have developed a taste for Grey squirrel canapes. Regular readers of this blog will no doubt remember my experience tasting grey squirrel as part of the TV programme, as well as my rather reluctant American friend Sue. (Click on the links if you havn't read them)
Well it seems that now an American TV company has come over to the UK to bring this delicacy back to the USA, at least in cooked form from where it came originally. This story is going to run and run..

Thanks a lot Uncle Russ....

Squirrels,
there are loads of them where i live,
they drive my dog crazy,
He's a lakeland terrier called charlie,
he chased one a while back and when he was moving in for the kill it ran up a tree,
Now this was a feast of humour for me as he could'nt understand where it had gone,
I was staring at this fluffy thing 6ft up the tree but my dog was racing around like roadrunner, To him it had dissapeared into thin air ( Literally)
And he was looking at me and moaning and whining like a jet leaving John Lennon airport,
But it just sat there clinging on,staring me out !
I was still chuckling when we got home,
Now squirrel au Van is a fantastic dish,
first take a squirrel that has been ran over by a van,
I know and I can hear you all groaning,
but there's plenty more where that came from !!
Nick....
