I have just spent three days in the Netherlands for a project I'm working on. They have a slightly unusual take on lunches: every day we were served sandwiches and milk to drink – it was sort of like being back at school. Interestingly the Norwegians tend to do the same thing; always having sandwiches for lunch. In Sweden we prefer a hot meal in the middle of the day. At home I usually make home-made soup for lunch, it's tasty, nutritious and the chopping is a welcome break from the computer!
